The Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) in cooperation with the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia and relevant Ministries evaluated the sustainable practices of Croatian companies for the sixteenth year in a row – the Croatian Sustainability Index (HRIO).

By participating in the Croatian Sustainability Index, companies have the opportunity to obtain an objective assessment of the sustainability of their own business practices, a review of compliance with the latest provisions of the European Union, and a comparison with the practices of other Croatian companies in six areas of activity: corporate management, environmental management, working environment, human rights, children’s rights, relations with the community.

Ferro-Preis d.o.o. is the winner of the award in the field of Environmental Management – for the Manufacturing Company. The award was received at the 15th conference on sustainable development by the managing director of Ferro-Preis, Željko Marić, who thanked the employees of Ferro-Preis and the Preis Group and emphasized that they are the most deserving of receiving this prestigious award.

He noted that this award is only an additional incentive for further improvements in our sustainable practices, and that there is no alternative for sustainable business, and that we must strive to remain competitive in relation to non-European suppliers.
